Lost Love and Breaking Up

Is it  already gone?

Just as how sunset brings the

promise of  a new dawn

It's foolish to think

how I fought for this

Yet in a million blink

I no longer crave your kiss

Conversations became shorter

Rose petals wither

If only we can make a new connection

Just to salvage us from the wrong direction

Wistful of where we left off

Candor is a pungent pill  to quaff

Wonder of where tenderness is replaced

And why everything is shattering in a haste

A lone cricket night

As we yearn for the light

But our love is at the crest of its darkness

No matter how hard we'll try; the path is precarious

Clock has turned the bloom to grey

Even how much we loved yesterday

What we had is left in dust

From the start it wasn't meant to last

Now, I will think of Spring last year

How you whispered, "I so love you" in my ear
